Oaklawn Furlong Friday

We go into a fantastic Friday with a excellent six furlong in Hot Springs.

Oaklawn Park Race 8 {6 furlongs~4 year old Up~Optional Claiming}
A superb group of nine will go to the gate in this afternoon feature.  There is a ton of speed in this one which should make for a super speedy race.  Most in here have equally comparable speed numbers at the distance.  A fabulous furlong contest will unfold on this Friday.

#4 Jake Mo (Berry / Calhoun) may take another step up with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and four hearty workouts.  This lad may benefit from a furious pace with his tracking and closing running style.  He will be firing fresh from a brief layoff.

#8 Heliskier (Cancharia / Robertson) should be the overall favorite with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three strong workouts.  This guy holds the highest speed number at the distance, the only triple digit among the group.  He will part of the front running group battling for position.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 JJ Garbar (Emigh / Bruggemann) should challenge with the second highest speed number at the distance as well as a 90% in the money record in ten races at same.  he is coming off an extended layoff and has done well off his layoffs.  In preparation, he has put in two solid peaking races.

#2 Officer Alex (Borel / Whiting) should be in the hunt with a fine tracking running style.  He shows the third highest speed number at the distance and has put in one bullet workout.  This lad has already notched two victories at Oaklawn.

Thursday's Results
Oaklawn Park R8.  Optional Claiming.  Our first pick, Gold Medal Dancer, won (1st) for show money of $2.80.  Our second pick, Soft Whisper, finished 7th (last).
Superfecta went 3-7-4-2.
Bankroll slips to $7.39.
