Rebel Yell for Stakes Saturday

Another great Derby prep comes before us.  A splendid Stakes Saturday it should be.

Oaklawn Park Race 10 {Rebel~G2~1 1/16 mile~3 year old~Stakes}
A fabulous field of eight will go to the gate in this Derby prep race.  All these young lads will be seeking points for KD 140.  There is enough speed to make for a quick pace.  All but two have been nominated to the Triple Crown.  It should be one of the most exciting Derby prep races of the year.

#3 Tapiture (Santana / Asmussen) is one of the highly regarded horses on the Derby trail and rightfully so.  He holds the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two fine peaking workouts.  This son of Tapit also holds the second highest speed number at the distance.  He should be close to the pace ready to get first jump on the rest of the field.
$2 WIN / $3 SHOW.

#4 Strong Mandate (Rosario / Lukas) will challenge with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two speedy peaking workouts.  This son of Tiznow has great versatility that he is a threat no matter the pace. He holds the highest speed number at the distance.
$2 SHOW.

#7 Street Stategy (Borel / Morse) can surprise with a couple of good last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and four sensational peaking workouts.  This son of the great Street Sense appears ready to move up in distance and make his mark.  Expect him to use a little speed, but make a thorough closing kick.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#8 Kobe's Back (Lezcano / Sadler) will contend with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two endurance producing workouts.  A son of Flatter, he should be rolling late as the pace heats up.
