Horse Racing Weekend Begins with Turf

A pleasant and exciting weekend opens with a little Turf racing in sunny Southern California.

Santa Anita Park Race 7 {1 1/8 mile~TURF~4 year old Up~Optional Claiming}
A gallant group of eight will take to the green in this feature race.  There is enough forwardly placed types to keep the pace fluid.  All are equally close in terms of speed numbers.  This should be a both a handicapping challenge and a thrilling race.

#7 Spring Up (Maldonado / Sadler) could take this one with the second highest (3 way tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and four sound peaking workouts.  He should be forwardly placed for maximum impact.
$2 SHOW.

#3 Artic North (Talamo / Miller) should challenge with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and two bullet workouts. This guy is ready to put his tracking style to good work.  He also holds the highest speed number at the distance.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#4 Niagara Falls (Bejarano / Biancone) will contend sharing the second highest last out speed number earned prior to an extended layoff.  He has put in five stellar workouts prepping for this race.  He should be tracking and closing splendidly.

#6 Monastic (Stevens / Proctor) should find himself in the hunt with the fourth highest last out speed number at a longer route, a three race progression, and four superb workouts.  He could show speed out of the gate with the versatility to feel the pace out.

Last Superfecta Sunday (3/2) Results
Gulfstream Park R9.  Here Comes the Bride--G3.  We just missed by one wagering interest in our 10 CENT Superfecta Box effort.  Superfecta went 9-2-4-3.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Hardly, finished a disappointing 8th.
Bankroll gets dumped to $2.89.  We will supplement with a Hamilton for this horse racing weekend.
