Furlong Friday at Oaklawn Park

On the eve of some great Derby preps we take a look at a nice sprint over the Arkansas dirt.

Oaklawn Park Race 4 {6 furlongs~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Caliming}
A good crop of ten ladies will hit the dirt in this claiming event. There is enough speed to keep the pace honest. Speed figs look relatively comparable. It could come down to which gal gets the best trip as all have been lightly raced this year and have been prepped virtually the same. It should be a highly competitive sprint.

#5 Re Elected (Loveberry / Caldwell) could have the edge with the highest last out speed number and one dynamite workout. This gal loves the dirt and the Oaklawn track. She should track the pace closely and swoop into the stretch. This gal does have the highest speed number at the distance and a sound 50% in the money record at same.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Four Point Zero (Santana / Asmussen) will challenge with a decent first out speed number in a race in which she won. This gal has put in two speedy workouts including a bullet performance. She should be the speed of the field.

#6 Redlace and Pearls (Rocco / Autrey) should contend with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and three good workouts. She comes into this race fresh off a brief layoff. This gal should be forwardly placed ready to score.

#9 Miss the Cue (L. Quinonez / Shumake) should be in the hunt with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and a four race progression. She is 77% in the money from nine career starts. This gal should be close to the pace.
