Stakes Saturday in Sunny California

On this Stakes Saturday we take in a splendid Turf contest in Southern California.

Santa Anita Race 8 {Last Tycoon~G3~1 1/4 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}
A closely matched field of eight will take to the grass in this featured race. It comes up very light on speed which should make for an intriguing wagering event. The speed numbers are close which should make for an highly competitive race.

#7 Quick Casablanca (Stevens / McAnally) might have a slight edge with the second highest speed at the distance, a couple of decent last out speed numbers, and three healthy workouts. This son of Until Sundown could track the pace closely and unload into the stretch.
$2 WIN  /  $3 SHOW.

#2 Power Foot (Bejarano / Drysdale) will challenge with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four endurance producing workouts. This son of Powerscourt [GB] should also be tracking the pace seeking to strike in the stretch. He appears to enjoy the run over the Santa Anita Turf.
$2 SHOW.

#5 Play Hard to Get (Desormeaux / Kruljac) should contend with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three serious workouts. This son of Purim will be running late seeking to gain through the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Intrest

#4 Joe's Blazing Aaron (T. Baze / Hess) could be in the mix with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and two robust peaking workouts. This son of Graeme Hall is the only speedster in the contest. It let loose, he could wire this field. He does have the highest speed number at the distance.
