Horse Racing Weekend begins at Keeneland

On to Kentucky for the start of our Horse Racing weekend. With the Kentucky Derby a little more than two weeks away less get acclimated to that wholesome Kentucky air.

Keeneland Race 8 {1 1/16 mile~TURF~4 year-old Up~Fillies / Mares~Allowance}
A good group of nine gals will hit the grass in this afternoon feature.  It comes up very light on speed which should make for a lively quickening going into the stretch. Speed numbers are all fairly close. It should be a very thrilling race.

#1 Market Magic (Lezcano / Mott) should be the deserved favorite with the highest last out speed number, a seven race progression, and two solid workouts. She should be tracking the pace closely looking to shoot through the pack.
$1 WIN  /  $2 SHOW.

#8 Canny Nanny (Bridgmohan / Casse) is coming off a long layoff, but appears ready to challenge with a couple of sharp peaking workouts. She shares the highest speed number at the distance and is 100% in the money at same from three starts. She could end up with the lead by default and motor home gate to wire.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#4 Magic of Reality [FR] (Maragh / Motion) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number at a longer route, prior to a brief freshening, and one terrific bullet workout. This gal will be covering this distance for the first time from a tracking position.

#5 Naples Gold (R. Hernandez / Colebrook) might surprise as she appears to be in good form among a group that has sporadic consistency. She is coming off a couple of decent last out speed numbers and one robust workout. This gal should be swooping in from off the pace.
