Friday Turf at Santa Anita

On this Good Friday we take a look at a very nice Turf race at that fantastic "Race Place" in Southern California.

Santa Anita Park Race 3 {1 mile~TURF~4 year old Up~Fillies/Mares~Allowance}
A well bred crew of eight will be sent off in this Turf allowance feature.  There is enough speed to keep the pace fluid.  All have fairly comparable speed figures which leads itself to a hotly contested Turf battle.  It will be a good race.

#2 Jolly Days (Bejarano / Gallagher) might have a slight edge provided the pace in on.  She holds the fourth highest last out speed number at a longer Turf route, a two race progression, and two superb peaking workouts.  She should close swiftly in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Caelis [GB] (Gomez / Miller) looks primed after an extended layoff.  She holds the second highest speed number at the distance and has put in four stellar peaking workouts prepping for her return to the races.  She could find herself forwardly placed ready to strike at the top of the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#6 Esentepe [IRE] (Nakatani / Hollendorfer) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number off a graded downhill Turf race, a four race progression, and three robust peaking workouts.  She is being wheeled back on fourteen days rest utilizing her tracking capabilities.

#8 Black Tunic (Maldonado / Bonde) should be in contention sharing the third highest last out speed number, holding a five race progression, and putting together three excellent peaking workouts.  This gal should be the speed of the race and could wire the field.
