Superfecta Sunday at Santa Anita

Another Superfecta Sunday rolls in.  Today we take a peek at a high quality sprint for the ladies at lovely Santa Anita Park.

Santa Anita Park Race 8 {Las Flores~G3~6 1/2 furlongs~4 year old Up~fillies/mares~Stakes}
A great group of eight star lady sprinters will go to the gate in this annual graded stakes race.  There is enough speed in here to keep the pace scintillating.  Every single runner in the race is capable of pulling off the victory.  Let us attempt to fashion a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#3 Shumoos (Gomez / Cecil) is making her second start of the year after an extended layoff.  This will be her third North American start after a successful career in Great Britain.  She holds the second highest last out speed number at a slightly shorter sprint and has put in four endurance producing and peaking workouts.  This gal has speed, but is able to track the pace as well.  She is our bronze horseshoe selection for today.
$2 SHOW.

#5 Teddy's Promise (V. Espinoza / Ellis) should go off as the deserved favorite with the highest last out speed number, three perfect starts at this distance, and four superb workouts.  She has a versatile running style that will aid her cause.

#6 Sugarinthemorning (M. Garcia / McAnally) could challenge from a pressing position should another be willing go to the front.  She holds the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four strengthening yet peaking workouts.

#2 Rumor (Smith / Mandella) looks quite capable of making a valiant run for the prize with the highest speed number at the distance along with a 100% in the money record in three starts at same.  She has put in two decent workouts in preparation for this race.  Should there be a pace meltdown, this daughter of Indian Charlie could be the big surprise.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#3 Shumoos  +  #5 Teddy's Promise  +  #6 Sugarinthemorning  +  #2 Rumor.
