California Turf, Baby!

Friday, the eve before the Arlington Million at Arlington Park, we take a look at a exceptional Turf race in sunny Southern California.

Del Mar Race 6 {Sandy Blue Handicap~1 mile~TURF~3 year old~fillies~Stakes}
A full field of ten young fillies will hit the TURF in this feature stakes race.  The vast majority of the runners in here prefer to be forwardly placed.  Consequently, there is a strong indication that speed will be ever present.  A great race should unfold.

#10 Pontchatrain (Leparoux / Proctor) has the edge with the second highest last out speed number at a longer TURF route, a three race progression, and three solid workouts.  She will be one of many that could be forwardly placed ready to motor through the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

#3 Macha (Bejarano / Hollendorfer) could surprise with a superb pressing attack.  She holds a couple of decent last out speed numbers and four hearty workouts.  She also holds the second highest speed number at the distance.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#8 Sarach (M. Garcia / Mandella) will challenge with the third highest last out speed number at a longer route and two supreme workouts.  This gal will be part of the forwardly placed force romping over the green.

#6 Redressthebalance [IRE] (Guitierrez / O'Neill) could contend with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and two stout workouts.  She is one of the few that will be tracking the pace ready to strike should it boil over.
