Stakes Saturday at Saratoga

Another wonderful weekend with a great grade one stakes race.

Saratoga Race10 {Whitney Invitational~G1~1 1/8 mile~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A supreme group of eight racers will make their start in this annual grade one.  There is a ton of speed and if left uncontrolled, could be of great benefit for those few which relish coming from off the pace.  This race will be one of the best of the summer.

#5 Ron the Greek (Lezcano / Mott) could find himself chasing down the leaders in the stretch with the fourth highest last out speed number and two solid workouts.  He will be firing fresh utilizing his strong kick.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.

#2 Mucho Macho Man (Prado / Ritvo) is another that could benefit from a smoking pace with a decent last out speed number, essentially a two race progression, and four endurance building workouts. Like many of these in here, he loves the Saratoga course.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.

#8 Fast Falcon (Alvarado / Zito) should also benefit from a fierce pace with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two modest workouts.  He should be tracking the pace ready to make his move going into the turn.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#1 Successful Dan (Leparoux / Lopresti) must control the pace if he is to emerge victorious.  He has a good last out speed number, a two race progression, and four very fast workouts.  This guy will be challenged by two other speedsters, but could hold on for a piece of the purse pie.

#3 Fort Larned (Hernandez / Wilkes) could go off as the favorite, but is another that has to tamp down on the front end speed.  He holds the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four hearty workouts.  He too is one of a number in her that love the Saratoga course.

10 CENT Superfecta

#5 Ron the Greek / #2 Mucho Macho Man / #8 Fast Falcon / #1 Successful Dan, #3 Fort Larned.
