MILLION DAY 2013

It will be a beautiful day in Chicago for horse racing at Arlington International Race Course.

Arlington Park Race 1 {Straight Line~1 mile~3 year old~Stakes}
A great group of ten talented horses will hit the polytrack in the inaugural edition of this fine stake race.  There is a significant amount of speed in this one which should set up nicely for an off the pace horse to triumph.  This should be a great first race on this fantastic Arlington Million card.

#1A Fordubai (Castro / Geier) could have the edge with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four splendid workouts.  He should find himself right off the lead pack ready to make his move going into the stretch.
$2 WIN / $3 SHOW.

#4 Positively (Stevens / Byrne) is well spotted in this race with the third highest (tie) last out speed number and one super efficient bullet workout.  He should be tracking the pace closely and explode into the stretch with a strong kick.
$2 SHOW.

#6 Cameo Appearance (Geroux / Catalano) will be part of the speed in this race as he moves to a route for the first time.  He has posted the second highest last out speed number and three speedy strength workouts.  Could be the one to beat if left loose on the lead.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#8 Carson's Crown (Prado / Stidham) will be stretching out from his last which shares the third highest last out speed number.  He is working a three race progression and has put in three solid workouts.  He has the tactical speed to stay with this bunch and position himself for a piece of the purse.

#7 Ground Transport (Rosario / Stidham) should contend despite landing a dud in his last out.  He is coming off that longer route effort with four good workouts.  Expect him to be forwardly placed and enjoin the rushing stretch run.

10 CENT Superfecta

#1A Fordubai / #4 Positively / #6 Cameo Appearance / #8 Carson's Crown, #7 Ground Transport.

Arlington Park Race 10 {Arlington Million~G1~1 1/4~TURF~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A exceptionally talented group of thirteen International horses come to Arlington to take part in one of the greatest TURF races of the year.  Four millionaires are included in the group.  There is sufficient speed to keep the pace honest, but most will be coming from off the pace as in Euro-style racing.  Most assuredly, it will be a incomparable race this season.

#13 Grandeur [IRE] (Buick / Noseda) should be able to capture this race will his fine tracking and closing running style.  He has raced very well in Great Britain this year.  This guy is 86% in the money at this distance.  His last out at a longer TURF route is the best among the entrants in this great race.
$2 WIN / $3 PLACE / $4 SHOW.

#10 The Apache [SAF] (Soumillon / de Kock) will challenge with a solid last out performance at a longer route.  He has posted one workout over the Arlington Park track to acclimate to the race course.  This South African bred has already posted a victory at this distance.
$2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.

#8 Mull of Killough [IRE] (O'Brien / Chapple-Hyam) should contend well among this bunch with a couple of superb last out performances, a two race progression, and showing strength at this distance.  In this super competitive field he could surprise.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 Hunter's Light [IRE] (Moore / bin Suroor) should be in the mix as a wel traveled entrant.  His last two outings have been very good while working a three race progression.  This guy should be tracking the pace with a large contingent and find his way through for a piece of the purse.

#11 Little Mike (Rosario / Romans) is the defending MILLION champ, but he will not be able to run alone out on the lead as this year he will share front running duties and should also be pressed a bit.  He is still one of the mightier in here and has put in four terrific workouts.

#7 Indy Point [ARG] (Stevens / Mandella) should also challenge this group with a great performance last out at Del Mar.  He has posted three endurance producing workouts in preparation for this grade one.  This guy could be forwardly placed ready to strike in the stretch.
