Furlong Friday at Delta Downs

Let's take in a two turn sprint at the Louisiana "Bull Ring".

Delta Downs Race 8 {My Trusty Cat Stakes~7 furlongs~2 year old~fillies~Stakes}
A dandy field of seven will make the start in this feature stakes sprint.  There is enough speed in here to assure a hearty pace.  Most of these young gals have raced well and have secured decent speed numbers in their first few starts.  It should be a very fine race.

#6 Ima Three Blinger (Saenz / Broberg) may have the edge with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one stout workout.  She has already secured a victory around the Delta Downs track.  With a significant pace she could track down this field.
$2 SHOW.

#1 Lady Grantham (J. Melancon / Brinkman) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number and a two race progression.  She has a victory at this distance which aids her cause.  This filly should be able to show some speed.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Bahnah (Lanerie / Calhoun) will be the consensus favorite with the highest speed number over a dirt surface. She has trained well for this event with three superb workouts.  She is another expected to show speed out of the gate.

#4 Synapse (G. Melancon / Leggio) could contend with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two sharp peaking workouts. She should be tracking the pace aiming for position around the final turn.
