Thursday Starts Our Horse Racing Weekend

Thursday offers us a little tune-up before the tremendous Breeder's Cup cards on Friday and Saturday.

Santa Anita Race 6 {Big Bear Stakes~1 mile~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A classy bunch of six step out in this wonderful mile race.  There is a little speed which should make it an interesting race.  Most in here are well regarded with some fantastic wins under their saddles. It should make for a fine tune-up before the Breeder's Cup festivities.

#2 Summer Hit (Nakatani / Hollendorfer) might have the edge as a speedster with the third highest last out speed number at a longer route and four superb workouts.  He has done very well so far this year and could wire the field.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Rail Trip (Bejarano / Ellis) could get back on track in this tight stakes race with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and two robust workouts.  He loves the Santa Anita track and relishes this distance.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 Rousing Sermon (Leparoux / Hollendorfer) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three stellar workouts.  He has the tactical speed to stay close and release into the stretch.

#1 Drill (Smith / Baffert) could contend with two good last out speed numbers and three strong peaking workouts.  Like many in here he has run well at this distance.  He could close swiftly into the stretch.

10 CENT Superfecta

#2 Summer Hit / #4 Rail Trip / #3 Rousing Sermon / #1 Drill.

Last Superfecta Sunday (10/27) Results
Woodbine R10.  Canadian International--G1.  We captured only two of the four wagering interest that formed the 20 CENT Superfecta box ticket.  Superfecta went 5-1-9-7.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Slumber [GB], finished 6th.
Bankroll tumbles to $107.08.
