Stakes Saturday Turf at Keeneland

On this Stakes Saturday we take a look at a grade one Turf race at wonderful Keeneland.

Keeneland Race 9 {Queen Elizabeth II Cup~Grade 1~1 1/8 mile~TURF~3 year old~fillies~Stakes}
A great crop of nine three year-olds steps up into this grade one TURF event.  There is some speed which should keep the pace honest.  It is a relatively close match when it comes to the speed numbers they have posted.  This year's QE II should be a very fine race.

#4 Alterite [FR] (J. Velazquez / C. Brown) has a slight edge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two efficient workouts.  This French bred filly has already scored a victory at this distance in one attempt.  She should be able to track the pace and explode into the stretch.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.

#7 Kitten's Dumplings (Leparoux / Maker) will challenge with a decent couple of last out speed numbers, and three superb workouts.  This gal shares the highest speed number at the distance.  She has run up against some fairly stiff competition in her career so should be well prepped to meet this bunch.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.

#2 Say [IRE] (Graham / A. O'Brien) could surprise making her second North American start.  She ran well in competitive races across the pond and has posted a 100% in the money record in three starts at this distance.  Draw a line through her last start and throw in her one solid workout.  A nice tracking effort could produce a desired result.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#9 I'm Already Sexy (Geroux / Catalano) is coming down from Arlington Park.  She shares the highest speed figure at the distance which is also the highest last out speed number among the field.  She is working a three race progression and has put in two robust workouts.  With tactical speed to see hoe the race develops, this gal is a contender.

#8 Leigh Court (Boulanger / J. Carroll) should be the speed of the race with the third highest last out speed number and one bullet workout.  She comes down from Woodbine where the Turf contests are always highly competitive.  There is a possibility she could wire this field.
