Friday at Tampa Bay Downs

Today we look at a terrific Turf mile in beautiful Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay Downs Race 9 {1 mile~TURF~4 year old Up~Allowance Optional Claiming}
A sincere field of ten will hit the grass.  The race comes up a little light on speed, though the vast majority of runners like to track the pace.  It may all come down to positioning and who has the stamina to break from the pack.

#8 Mister Pippit (Centeno / Ness) might have a slight edge with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one peaking workout.  This lad shares the highest speed at the distance and over the surface.  He is one of many that should be tracking the pace.
$1 SHOW.

#5 Vacation Time (Spieth / Gonzalez) should contend with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two robust workouts.  This guy should be another who will be tracking the pace and closing well.
$1 SHOW.

#2 Smart and True (Hamilton / Garrison) could be forwardly placed to great advantage.  He holds the fourth highest last out speed number at a longer route and a two race progression.  This guy certainly likes the distance having scored two wins in two tries.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#9 Sharp Omar (Gallardo / Garcia) could surprise with the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a six race progression, and one sharp workout.  He is another that should be tracking the pace ready to launch into the stretch.

10 CENT Superfecta

#8 Mister Pippit  /  #5 Vacation Time  /  #2 Smart and True  /  #9 Sharp Omar.
