Thursday Turf at Gulfstream Park

We go to the Turf for the start of our Horse racing weekend.

Gulfstream Park Race 9 {1 1/16 mile~TURF~4 year old Up~Optional Claiming}
An intensely competitive group of eleven will take to the grass in this feature race.  There is just enough speed to keep things evenly paced.  Most in here are coming off layoffs, so will fire fairly fresh.  Speed numbers over the surface and at the distance are relatively comparable.  It should be a highly contentious race.

#7 English Progress (Rosario / Mettee) should be one that comes out of the race with a prize.  He shows the fourth highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two solid peaking workouts.  He will be coming off a brief freshening ready to fire.
$1 SHOW.

#4 Bombaguia (Prado / Kimmel) is also coming off a short freshening with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three superb peaking workouts.  He could be leader that does not look back.
$1 SHOW.

#9 Moro Tap (Lopez / Maker) should contend with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three excellent peaking workouts.  He is a closer that will take advantage of a sincere pace.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#11 Unbridled Ocean (Saez / Mott) is coming off an extended layoff where he last raced in Dubai at Meydan Race Course.  He shows a top Racing Post rating in his last and has put in three hearty workouts prepping for this race. he can be expected to part of the tracking pack.

#6 Kalamos (Lezcano / Mott) is lightly raced and coming off a brief layoff.  He has a couple of decent last out speed numbers and has put in four stellar workouts.  This guy should also be part of the track pack ready to move into the stretch.
