Saratoga Horse Racing Weekend

For the start of our horse racing weekend we take in a race for the youngsters, at the Spa.

Saratoga Race 5 {With Anticipation~G2~1 1/16 mile~TURF~2 year old~Graded Stakes}
A great crop of nine youngsters will go to the grass in this mid-card feature.  Many are making their second career start after a stellar first win. There are enough speedy types to keep the pace moving. Only three have gone this distance and have notched wins at it. This should be a fascinating race.

#1 Startup Nation (Rosario / C. Brown) could follow up his first start at this distance with another win. He holds the second highest last out speed number and has put in two superb peaking workouts. This lad sports the highest speed number at the distance. He should be tracking the pace ready to strike.
$1 SHOW.

#8 International Star (Napravnik / Maker) appears primed and ready to take another step forward with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number and three athletic workouts. He should be forwardly placed geared towards victory.
$1 SHOW.

#5 Nutty Futty (Valdivia / Van Culin) could surprise following the pace closely with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one solid workout. He could be sitting on a fine performance.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#6 Designed for War (Castellano / Pletcher) should compete vigorously as the speed demon in the race.  He holds the third highest last out speed number at this distance and has put in three robust workouts.
