Stakes Saturday at the Spa

A great day of stakes races all across the land.  On this Saturday we focus on a Turf race at the Spa.

Saratoga Race 7 {Fasig-Tipton De La Rosa Stakes~1 mile inner TURF~4 year old Up~fillies/mares~Stakes}
A fantastic group of nine will take to the green in one of a number of stakes races on today's card.  There is enough speed in here, particularly on the outside, to keep a fluid pace.  The speed numbers at the distance are fairly close.  It could be any gals race.

#7 Pianist (J. Ortiz / C. Brown) will be making her first start this year.  She is strong off the layoff and appears ready to tackle this field.  She holds a 66% win record at this distance and has put in four very powerful workouts in preparation for her return to racing.  This daughter of More Than Ready absolutely loves the Saratoga course.
$1 WIN  /  $2 SHOW.

#3 Joy (I. Ortiz / Motion) could surprise with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one solid workout.  She relishes this distance having won two of three at it.  This daughter of Pure Prize will be tracking the pace and should it get steamy, watch her grind it out in the stretch.
$1 PLACE  /  $1 SHOW.

#9 Filimbi (Rosario / Mott) will challenge with the fourth highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three robust workouts.  A daughter of Mizzen Mast, she is 100% in the money from nine career starts. She should be forwardly placed ready to pounce.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#8 Day at the Spa (Castellano / C. Brown) should contend coming off an extended layoff.  She holds the highest speed number at the distance and has put in four strengthening workouts in preparation for her first start this year.  This daughter of City Zip holds a perfect three for three record over the Saratoga course.  Could be the one to beat.
