Closing off a beautiful horse racing weekend, we take a look at a dandy Turf sprint at glorious Arlington Park.

An evenly matched field of nine will make their start in the last race on the card.  An evenly balance group of running styles will make this Turf sprint a good one.

#8 Stig's Deputy (Alvarado / M. Perez) holds the highest speed number at the distance, the third highest last out speed number, and a two race progression.  He is a lover of the Arlington Park Turf.  He could pull off the victory with a pressing/tracking attack.

#2 Cherokee Lord (Felix / Livesay) is coming off an extended layoff.  Prior to the layoff he had a far superior last out speed number and a three race progression.  He has put in a two bullet workout prepping for this race.  He should be ready to set the pace for potential victory.

#6 My Man Moran (Martinez / Quinn) will be closing swiftly as possible with the fourth highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one good workout.  He could surprise them.

#4 Izzy Golden (Sanchez / S. Mullins) will launch a pressing approach and could figure in the mix.  He holds the second highest (tie) speed number at the distance and has romped nicely over the Arlington Park Turf.

#7 Hoodlum (Perez / Block) has been a router for most of his career and comes off the second highest last speed number over a route.  He holds a two race progression and two robust workouts.  He could be in the hunt if he can get his sprint on.

Hollywood Park R8.  Hollywood Gold Cup.  Our first pick, Setsuko, finished 4th.  Our second pick, Twirrling Candy, finished 3rd for show money of $2.40.  Our third pick, Game On Dude, finished 2nd for show money of $3.60.  Superfecta went 7-4-1-3.
