A Del Mar Friday

Another fantastic Friday where we look at a wonderful marathon at Del Mar.

Del Mar Race 7 {Cougar II~G3~1 1/2 mile~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A dynamic group of eight will line up for this annual.  It appears to have a nice balance of running styles.  One has gone this distance and one has run a distance just shy of it.  Both should be considered contenders.

#5 Times Gone By (Bejarano / Mitchell) looks to be sitting on a big race with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a three race progression, and two athletic workouts.  He is a lover of Del Mar and holds the second highest speed number over the surface.
$2 SHOW.

#6 Dahoud [NZ] is the only one who hax traveled this distance and appears ready to challenge.  He has the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and five solid workouts.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Intersts

#1 Bourbon Bay (Talamo /Drysdale) will strike from the pressing position with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three serious workouts.  Could win this one.

#4 Setsuko (Espinoza / Mandella) will also be in the hunt with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two robust workouts.  Another in contention for the victory.

10 CENT Superfecta

#5 Times Gone By / #6 Dahoud [NZ] / #1 Bourbon Bay / #4 Setsuko.

Thursday's Results
Saratoga R9.  Our first pick, Kinda Spicy, won (1st) for win money of $2.25 and show money of $3.00.  Our second pick, Hot Danger, was scratched.  Because of a couple of scratches, no ten cent superfecta was offered.
Bankroll is on the rise to $9.40.
