To the North We Go

Oh Canada Day for a classic race at a classic distance we go.  Today we look at the Domminion Day stakes race at Woodbine.

Woodbine Race 8 {Domminion Day~G3~1 1/4 mile~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A great race with a outstanding group of eleven expected to make the start.  It appears to be evenly divided between the forwardly placed and those that like to close well.  This will be an exciting race.

#3 Southdale (Wilson / Black) appears to have a slight edge with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number,  a two race progression, and two well-built, peaking workouts.  Should be positioned to get first jump on the front-enders.
$2 SHOW.

#8 Stately Victor (Lebron / Maker) will challenge mightily with a couple of decent last out efforts, a two race progression, and four outstanding workouts.  He should launch a strong closing effort.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Don Cavallo (Contreras / Attfield) will move swiftly at the front end hoping to hold off the trackers and closers.  He holds the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two robust workouts.  Could hold on for the win.
$2 SHOW.
