Saratoga Time

For the start of our horse racing weekend we take a look at a nice allowance race at that very special place, Saratoga.

Saratoga Race 9 {1 1/8 mile~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}
A great group of eight will venture to the gate.  This race has relative parity as each gal could pull off the victory.  Only one has gone this distance, but that was eight months ago.  There does not seem to be much speed at all.  It should be noted that there is a nice differentiation in workout tabs.

#5 Kinda Spicy (J. Velazquez / Albertrani) appears ramped up to make a second good effort in her career.  She holds the second highest last out speed number at a route, her only race, and has put in a superb four peaking workout tab.  She could be forwardly placed.
$1 WIN / $2 SHOW.

#2 Hot Danger (Castro / Contessa) looks geared for a strong race with a couple of decent last speed numbers and three strong, peaking workouts.  Another that will be forwardly placed and ready to get first jump in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#6 R Gypsy Gold (Castellano / Pletcher) will move up another 110 yards in distance from her last outing which she earned the highest speed number among this field.  She has put in two steady workouts.

#7 Believe in A.P. (Dominguez / R. Dutrow) is the only gal that has raced at this distance, albeit approximately 240 months ago.  She looks ready with four robust workouts.  Clearly she will be a contender.

10 CENT Superfecta

#5 Kinda Spicy / #2 Hot Danger / #6 R Gypsy Gold / #7 Believe in A.P.

Last Sunday's (7/24) Results
Del Mar R8.  San Clemente.  Our first pick, Sarah's Secret, finished 6th.  Our second pick, Up In Time [GB], won (1st) for show money of $6.40.  Superfecta went 1-9-2-8.
Bankroll gets a rise to $6.90.
