Summer Night Racing

On a beautiful summer Friday night we take a look at a splendid stakes race at Presque Isle Downs.

Presque Isle Downs Race 6 {Leematt~1 mile~3 year old Up~PA bred~Stakes}
A very nice field of eight will make their start on the Tapeta synthetic surface.  Good balance of speed, trackers and closers will make this race a good wagering event.

#6 A.P. Ridge (Vega / Sheppard) looks ready to run a good race with the fourth highest last out speed number, two wins at this distance, and three sensational five furlong workouts.  He will be making a strong effort to close down this good field.
$2 SHOW.

#1 Ryan's Gift (Spieth / Ferraro) will be right up on the speed hoping to capture the lead and subsequent victory.  He holds the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and one decent workout.  He should be right there at the finish.
$2 SHOW.

#7 Silence (Cox / W. Rice) will be the surprise coming back to the synthetic flats after a brief career as a long distance jumper.  He is coming off a longer route win and has put in two peaking workouts.  He is another closer that fits in here well.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Sunshine Bo (Quinones / Gonzalez) will share the speed duties on the front end.  He should be in the mix with the third highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and one athletic workout.

#5 Pocket Patch (Rodriguez / Stites) should press the pace and figure prominently with the second highest last out speed number and a two race progression.  He will be in the hunt if he can transfer his Turf form to the Tapeta surface.
