A Belmont Friday

Today we take a peek at a simple claiming sprint at expansive Belmont Park.  It is quite rewarding on a cool Fall Friday.

This should be a compettive race with all these fillies closely matched.  There is plenty of speed which should make it a fun race as they head for the wire.

#8 Celebrity Sighting (Ortiz / Rodriguez) has a miniscule edge with the fourth highest last out speed number at a route and three speedy, peaking workouts.  Expect her to stay close to the pace and make a run in the stretch.

#1 Those Lion Eyes (Curatolo / Martin) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four strong workouts.  She be part of the speed in the front.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Hillsboro Bay (Nakatani / Jacobson) should figure prominently with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one peaking workout.  She should be forwardly placed seeking her fourth win in a row.

#9 Latin Rocks (C. Velasquez / Galluscio) could also pull off the victory with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three robust workouts.  She could track the pace and make a vibrant strike in the stretch.

Keeneland R8. JP Morgan Chase Jessamine.  Our first pick, Sweet Cat, finished 2nd for show money of $3.40.  Our second pick, Emerald Gold, finished 3rd for show money of $2.60.
Superfecta went 2-9-11-3.
Bankroll gets a lift to $14.25.
