Saturday Sprint at Keeneland

A wonderFall Saturday for horse racing in Kentucky.  Let's look at an exceptional graded stakes sprint at stunning Keeneland.

Keeneland Race 9 {Lexus Raven Run~G2~7 furlongs~3 year old~fillies~Stakes}
A lucky field of thirteen will make the start in this annual race.  There are not a lot of synthetic specialists in this contest making it a tough one for handicappers.  A large contingent of speedsters could make the pace boil over.

#7 Roman Treasure (Leparoux / Hushion) holds a slight edge with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two robust, peaking workouts.  She should be among the speedsters battling on the front end.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Great Hot [BRZ] (Sutherland / Avila) will challenge with the third highest last out speed number at a route distance, a four race progression, and two great peaking workouts.  With tactical speed she could take advantage of any boiling pace.
$2 SHOW.

#10 Honey Chile (Albarado / Catalano) can be considered the top synthetic specialist among this group.  She holds the highest speed number over the surface and loves the Keeneland poly.  With a strong workout tab and 88% in the money over a nine race career, she is a definite threat.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#12 Mizdirection (Gomez / Puype) could surprise with a nice Turf to synthetic transition.  She has a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a three race progression, and four stellar, peaking workouts.  Could be the big surprise.

#2 Groupie Doll (Kuntzweiler / Bradley) will be a contender with the fourth highest last out speed number and two hearty, peaking workouts.  She also holds the second highest (three-way tie) speed number at this distance.  Her switch from dirt to poly could be a factor.  Should she handle it well, count her in the closing strides of the race.
