A Belmont Thursday

Summer is officially here.  It is time to enjoy some good weekend racing.  Today we look at a Turf sprint at Belmont.  Hopefully the rains hold off.

Belmont Park Race 8 {6 furlongs~inner Turf~3 year old Up~Optional Claiming}
A nice race should develop here provided it stays on the Turf.  A good field of nine is expected to settle into the gate.  Lots of forwardly placed types should make for a furious pace.

#7 Duke of Naples (Cohen / Levine) should surprise with the third highest speed number at the distance and one good workout.  He could give a pressing performance and strike for the front in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

#1 Higher Court (Dominguez / Albertrani) or #1A Opening Move (A. Garcia / McLaughlin) will challenge on the front end.  Either of them have been prepped for a winning performance.  Higher Court holds the highest speed number at the distance, albeit on synthetic, and five robust workouts.  Opening Move holds the second highest speed number (on dirt) and two solid, peaking workouts.
$2 SHOW.

No 10 CENT Superfecta Offered in this race.

Last Sunday's (6/19) Results
