A Churchill Thursday

For the start of the horse racing weekend we had hoped to look at a nice Turf race at wonderful Churchill Downs.  However, the race has been moved off the Turf and will be run on the main track.  It should be a good race nonetheless.

Churchill Downs Race 8 {1 1/8 mile~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}
A good race should develop with seven going to the starting gate. Speed and pressers seem to dominate the group.

#5 Kathern's Kitten (Leparoux / Maker) holds an edge with the fourth highest last out speed number and four strong workouts.  Her last race was over the dirt surface and she looks ready to close swiftly.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Silk Route (Castanon / Mott) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number and three quality workouts.  Should be forwardly placed for this contest.
$2 SHOW.

#2 Inner Grove (Bridgmohan / Margolis) will surprise with a couple of decent last out efforts and three superb workouts.  She should be the speed and could hold on for a piece.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#6 Unbridled Quest (M. Pedroza / Oliver) will share front end duties and will be in the mix.  She holds the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two swell workouts.
