Jersey Turf Sprint

A little Turf sprint on a pleasant Jersey Friday.  Hopefully any storm activity holds off and we enjoy a good race.

Monmouth Park Race 9 {5 furlongs~Turf~3 year old Up~Allowance}
With one scratch and the three also eligibles sitting on the sideline this field of seven looks very competitive.  Lots of speed and forwardly placed runners could make for a fast pace.

#1 Would If I Could (Marquez / Belsoeur) looks to have a slight edge with the second highest last out speed number at a slightly longer sprint and two peaking workouts.  Will be forwardly placed ready to spring forward.

#6 Concorde's Flight (Bravo / Pletcher) will challenge from the front end with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three athletic workouts.  A genuine Turf sprinter.

#2 Chasing Moonlight (DeCarlo / Albertrani) looks well prepped to take a step forward.  Coming off a longer sprint with three sensational workouts watch as he tracks the pace ready to unload in the stretch.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Related [AUS] (C. Lopez / McLaughlin) will get back to the Turf with a couple of decent last out speed numbers over the dirt and two robust, peaking workouts.  Could be poised for an upset.

#8 Le Bon Ton Roule (Luzzi / Gambolati) will also be in the mix coming off a route and putting in a strong workout.  He might press on for a piece.

Churchill Downs R8.  Our first pick, Kathern's Kitten, finished 5th.  Our second pick, Silk Route, won (1st) for show money of $2.80.  Our third pick, Inner Grove, finished 4th.  Superfecta went 4-9-6-2.
