Turf-day at Hollywood Park

Thursday is Turf-day.
Today we look at a highly competitve mile Turf contest at Hollywood Park to start our horse racing weekend.

Hollywood Park Race 5 {1 mile~Turf~3 year old Up~Claiming}
A fascinating field of ten who each have only won one race a piece.  There will be little speed in this one.  It would seem that these will plod along until hitting the stretch.  We will focus on three that have a chance to break into the money.

#2 Bud I Crushed It (M. Garcia / Winick) looks ready to move forward with the second highest last out speed number at a longer route, a four race progression, and two robust, peaking workouts.
$2 SHOW.

#3 Forward Commitment (Flores / Koriner) looks like he may make a favorable strike towards the wire with the fourth highest speed number at the distance and three stout workouts.
$2 SHOW.

#6 Lewdawg N Paradise (Pedroza / Schiewe) is 100% in the money at this distance and has put in two solid workouts.  Could be in the hunt.
$2 SHOW.

Last Sunday's Results
Hollywood Park R8.  Beverly Hills.  Our first pick, Cozi Rosie, placed 2nd.  No Show Bets due to two scratches and a very small field.
Bankroll dips to $5.00.  Weekend supplement of $10.00 will bring it up to $15.00 for our horse racing weekend.
