Turfday at Belmont Park

Let's start the horse racing weekend off on this Turfday, errr, Thursday, at expansive Belmont Park.

Belmont Park Race 9 {1 1/16 mile~Turf~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~NY~Allowance}
An evenly matched group of nine will make the start over what will be firm Turf.  The group is nicely balanced with different running styles.  Should be a good race.

#9 Shakeira (Solis / Lewis) could surprise with the second highest (3-way tie) last out speed number, a four race progression, and three great, peaking workouts.  She should track the pace and make a run for it in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

#5 Centrina (J. Espinoza / Martin) will challenge sharing the second best last out speed number, having a four race progression, and one solid workout.  Will close swiftly.
$2 SHOW.

#7 Victoria Pool (Luzzi / Brown) looks ready for her first Turf start with a decent last out speed number and three impressive workouts.  She will be forwardly placed seeking to hold for a piece of the purse pie.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#8 Catchapenny K (Ortiz / Barker) appears well prepped to move up in distance with a reasonable last out speed number and two athletic workouts.  She could close well.

#9 Shakeira / #5 Centrina / #7 Victoria Pool / #8 Catchapenny K.
