It's Monmouth Time

It is Friday.  Yes, indeed, it's Monmouth Time.  Today we look at what appears to be a very competitive race at Monmouth Park.  Unfortunately it has been pulled from the Turf as we write this.

Monmouth Park Race 11 {1 1/16 mile~OFF the Turf~3 year old Up~Optional Claiming}
Pulling this one off the Turf will make it all the more interesting as a field of nine are expected to make the start notwithstanding any scratches due to the surface change.  There is a nice balance to the field as far as running style is concerned.  It will be comfortably competitive.

#9 Tastefully Smart (Hill / Broome) will be sharing front end duties, but should hold on for the victory with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression and a 91% in the money record at the distance over eleven races.
$2 SHOW.

#6 Slews Answer (Rose / Motion) looks ready to make a strong challenge with a decent last out speed number at a longer route and one fine workout.  The pace should set up nicely for a closer like him.
$2 SHOW.

#5 Roman Tiger (Trujillo / Manning) is also coming off a longer route with an o.k. speed number and one solid workout.  He should be in a tracking position ready to strike at the top of the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#7 Marquet Cat (C. Lopez / Einhorn) is another speedster who will be in the mix with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one athletic workout.  He could hold on for a piece.
