Closing the Weekend at Saratoga

Today we close out our horse racing weekend with a 2 year old stakes race at Saratoga.

Saratoga Race 9 {Sanford~G2~6 furlongs~2 year old Stakes}
A fine field of eight make the start in this race for the babies.  Maybesomaybenot (Leparoux / Maker) holds a slight edge with the third highest last out speed number and two terrific workouts.  Chipshot (Bridgmohan / Asmussen) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number, has progressed nicely in all three of his races, and has put in three athletic, peaking workouts.  Another who will be in the hunt will be Nacho Saint (Gomez / Breen) with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and two well-built, peaking workouts.  Another Silver Oak (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) can be expected to move forward with a nice debut race last out and four fierce workouts.  He will be the speed in the race.  Finally, Bail Out the Cat (A. Garcia / Violette) will be a force to be reckoned with.  He comes off the highest last out speed number in his debut over a sloppy track and has put in two robust, peaking workouts.  This will be an exciting race with some Kentucky Derby 2011 aspirants.  Let's play gorgeous Saratoga.
