Sunday at the Jersey Shore

Today, the last day of the horse racing weekend, we look at a splendid little Turf sprint at Monmouth Park.

Monmouth Park Race 10 {5 1/2 furlongs~Turf~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}
A field of eight will go to the gate.  Hopefully this one will go off on the Turf as there are three ready to go to post should it be main track only (MTO0.  The race is difficult to gage with a number in here that could pull off the victory.  A slight edge goes to Out Post (Trujillo / Goldberg) with the second highest last out speed number and two hearty workouts.  Colony Club (Boyce / White) looks to challenge with the highest (tie) last out speed number and a two race progression.  Darjeeling (A. Garcia / Asmussen) will be firing fresh off an extended layoff.  She has done well off the layoffs in the past.  She also has a well-built four workout tab.  Desert Flight (Coa / Marrotta) will be seeking to put in another solid performance with the third best last out speed number.  Winey Taylor (Serpa / Sacco) looks to progress nicely with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and one hardy workout.  Let's play Monmouth Park.

$2 SHOW:  #10 Out Post.
$2 SHOW:  #7 Colony Club.
10 CENT Superfecta:  #10 Out Post / #7 Colony Club / #6 Darjeeling / #9 Desert Flight, #5 Winey Taylor.
