Coast to Coast Turf

Today we look at a couple of excellent Turf sprints; one at Monmouth Park and another at Hollywood Park.

Monmouth Park Race 10 {5 furlongs~Turf~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}
A great field of eight with four looking to get in the race as also eligibles.  Easy Ashley (Trujillo / Ward) might get it done this time with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two good workouts.  Wardelle (Serpa / Garroll) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number and two peaking workouts.  Purrfect Bluff (Marquez / Farro) looks ready with the second highest last out speed number and the highest overall speed number.  She'sa Tough Tiger (Coa / Hills) will be coming back after more than a year lay-off.  She has put in a solid, peaking workout tab in preparation for her come back.  Two AE's (Also Eligibles) who will figure prominently in this race if they are drawn in.  Buzzbee (Rose / Wilson) has gone 100% in the money at this distance (2 for 2) and has put in a robust workout.  Naseeb (Rose / Capuano) is also 100% in the money at the distance (3 for 3) and is on a five race progression.  Let's play Monmouth Park.

$2 SHOW:  #7 Wardelle

Hollywood Park Race 7 {Culver City~6 furlongs~Turf~4 year old Up~fillies/mares~Stakes}
An extremely well prepared group of seven will go to the gate in this Turf sprint.  Dotsy Jean (Rosario / Jones) may have a very slight edge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and four fierce workouts.  Porto Marmay [IRE] (Flores / Canani) shares the second highest last out speed number, has a two race progression, and  four tremendous, peaking workouts.  Minute Limit [IRE] (Espinoza / Sadler) looks tough with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three hearty workouts.  Any one of these three gals may find their way to the winners circle.  Two others will compete for the balance of the purse.  Bonifacio (Talamo / Dollase) will be near the front end with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and five serious, peaking workouts.  Expensive Art [IRE] (M. Garcia / Cassidy) will probably be on the lead and may hold on long enough to get a piece of the pie.  She has put in a significantly solid workout tab with four peaking workouts.  Let's play Hollywood Park.
