Virginia is for Horse Lovers

SaTURFday, we look at a the Virginia Derby at gorgeous Colonial Downs.

Colonial Downs Race 12 {Virginia Derby~G2~1 1/4 mile~Turf~3 year old~Stakes}
A great group of eight Turfers will go to the gate in this exciting annual summer race.  It will be tough to beat Paddy O'Prado (Desormeaux / Romans) with the highest speed number at the distance, the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two fabulous workouts.  Interactif (Castellano / Pletcher), much like Paddy O'Prado is 100% in the money over the grass.  He has a decent last out speed number at the distance and three robust workouts.  Trainer, Todd Pletcher, will have him ready for this grassy distance.  Two Notch Road (Russell / Thompson) will be the surprise of the race with the second highest last out speed number, one of four who have gone this distance with some success, and a nice peaking workout.  Krypton (Maragh / McLaughlin) will give a powerful performance with the third (tie) highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two strenuous workouts.  Let's play Colonial Downs.
