Closing Stakes at Keeneland

Another wonderful Stakes Saturday at Keeneland as it closes its meet.  Today we will look at a polytrack race on this beautiful fall day.

Keeneland Race 9 {Fayette~G2~1 1/8~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A great group of ten are scheduled to run in this one.  Dubious Miss (Borel / McGee) coming off a six-month layoff looks primed and ready for victory.  With the highest speed number at this distance, a three race progression before the layoff, and three mighty workouts, Dubious Miss will fire well.  Successful Dan (Leparoux / Lopresti) will challenge with the second highest speed number last out, a three race progression, and two solid workouts.  Exhi (Castellano / Pletcher) will also challenge with the third highest (tie) last out speed number and two robust workouts.  Striding for a piece of the purse will be Stately Victor (Albarado / Maker) also with the third highest last out speed number and three hearty workouts.  Running in the hunt will be Battle of Hastings [GB] with a decent last out speed number at a longer route and three fierce workouts.  Battle of Hastings [GB] is known as a turf specialist, but cannot be discounted as he has the highest speed number at the distance.  Let's play beautiful Keeneland.

$2 SHOW:  #3 Successful Dan.
10 CENT Superfecta:  #9 Dubious Miss / #3 Successful Dan / #7 Exhi / #1 Stately Victor, #5 Battle of Hastings [GB].
