A Fall Day at Keeneland

Another horse racing weekend begins with Keeneland.  Today we look at a fine Turf stakes race for the babies at the historic track.

Keeneland Race 8 {Jessamine Stakes~1 1/16~Turf~2 year old~fillies}
A field of eleven precocious fillies line up for this Turf route.  Accept (Lebron / Maker) seems to have an edge with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three solid, peaking workouts.  Cloneylass [IRE] (J. Velazquez / R. Dutrow) will be making her North American debut after racing in her native Ireland.  She looks ready coming off a decent listed stakes race, a three race progression, and four strong, peaking workouts. Lauren Byrd (Gomez / Pletcher) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two good workouts.  Come a Callin (Desormeaux / Mott) will surprise with a decent speed number at a sprint, a two race progression, and four rigorous, peaking workouts.  Kathmanblu (Leparoux / McPeek) will be in the hunt with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two solid workouts.  Let's play Keeneland.
