It's A Grade One Saturday

Today we look at what will be two thrilling Grade 1 Stakes races.  One at Keeneland and One at the Oak Tree meet at Hollywood Park.

Keeneland Race 8 {Abu Dhabi First Lady~G1~1 mile~Turf~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Stakes}
A Superior group of nine gals will go to the gate for this grade one affair.  Proviso [GB] looks to have a very slight edge as there are a number in this race that could pull off the victory.  She has the second highest last out speed number, an amazing 86% in the money at this distance, and three wholesome, peaking workouts.  Gotta Have Her (Gomez / Sahadi) will be closing fast seeking the win with a triple digit speed figure at the distance, an even more amazing 90% in the money at the distance, and four superior, peaking workouts.  Wasted Tears (Maragh / Evans) will be the speed in this race with the fourth highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four fierce workouts.  Fantasia [GB] (Leparoux / Sheppard) will be fighting for the win as well, with a couple of quality last out speed numbers and one solid workout.  Let's play Keeneland.

Oak Tree at Hollywood Park Race 8 {Ancient Title~G1~6 furlongs~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A terrific group of eight will go to the gate in this grade one sprint.  Smiling Tiger (R. Baze / Bonde) seemingly has a slight edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number coming off a seven furlong sprint and three tremendous workouts.  Cost of Freedom (Quinonez / Sadler) will share front end duties also with the highest last out spee number, a two race progression, and three impressive workouts.  EZ's Gentlemen (M. Garcia / Baffert) looks ready and may get first jump on the two speedsters heading into the straight-away.  He posts the third highest speed number at the distance and has put in four strong workouts in preparation for this race.  Dancing In Silks (Rosario / Gaines) cannot be discounted with the second highest speed number at the distance and two swell workouts.  Gato Go Win (Nakatani / Troeger) may surprise with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two hearty workouts.  Let's play the Ancient Title at Hollywood Park.

Friday's Results
Keeneland R9.  Our first pick, Wonderlandbynight, finished 4th.  Our second pick, Jordy Y, finished 3rd for show money of $3.00.  Superfecta went 6-2-3-4.
Bankroll dips to $6.80.
